Here's a complete step by step tutorial on how to access your Google Drive straight from the native Files app in iOS 13 / iPadOS 13.

The Files app took a sharp turn towards betterment with the release of iOS 12. You can access all your third-party storage services straight from the Files app in a matter of seconds. This means you don't have to interact with multiple third-party apps in order to look at your files. You can download, upload, view, share all your Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. all under a single roof.

If you make do with Google Drive a lot, then we will show you how you can add the service to the Files app and take things off from there. Let's begin.

Access Google Drive from Files App

Step 1. First of all, you need to download and install the Google Drive app on your iPhone or iPad. This is compulsory. Once you are done downloading, make sure you sign in using your Google account.

Step 2. Now launch the Files app.

Step 3. Under the Browse tab, you'll see a new option called More Locations. Tap on it to open.

Step 4. You will see Google Drive Listed here as an option. Tap on the toggle switch next to it to enable.

Step 5. That's it, you will now see Google Drive as an option right under iCloud Drive.

You can now view, upload and download all your important documents straight from the Files app now. It's that simple.

If you are a user of OneDrive instead, you can follow the same steps above to add it to the Files app as well. But remember, you must download the official app for the service before you can enable access in Files. If you don't, then you will be out of luck. Also, if you delete the third-party app for OneDrive or Google Drive, you will lose access for the service in the Files app too. Be vary of this fact before you go ahead. It's best to throw all the apps in a single folder on your home screen and turn towards Files after that.

One last thing, if you are using a service which does not support the Files app, then there's nothing you can do to add it in. The developer of the service has to enable support from their end in order for it to integrate with Files.
